Played and recorded to 4-track and 8-track tape in various locations (a house in Victoria’s High Country; rehearsal rooms in the inner city), Nth Wheel II fuses cold meditation and analogue warmth, with longer, slower songs than on 2010’s Monochrome Dawn. These ones plunge further into the personal “nth dimension” the moniker originally suggested, a lonely cinema of thumping, overdriven downer-rock, ala Jim Shepard or Kevin Debroux, patched together by echoing guitar fragments and pause-button spikes.
